Princess Ann arrives in PNG

 Papua New Guinea Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae has released an official statement to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Anne to PNG ahead of Princess Royal's arrival this afternoon, (Monday-11.04.22)

Princess Anne will be accompanied by her husband, Sir Timothy Lawrence on a three-day royal visit.

Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae says it is with great honour and privilege to welcome Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Lawrence on this special occasion in celebrating Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s 70th Platinum Jubilee anniversary. 

Sir Bob says the three-day visit by Princess Royal speaks of the close relationship shared between PNG and the United Kingdom and importantly celebrates the remarkable life of dedicated services to the commonwealth nations by Queen Elizabeth the second since her accession in 1952.

The Governor-General adds that PNG is delighted to be part of this special occasion.
