Papua New Guinea Deputy Prime Minister, Sam Basil says network penetration in PNG is slow and so there is room for a third player.

Basil was speaking during the launch of Vodapone at the APEC's House last night.

Mr. Basil says he believes that access to Vodafone PNG would be much cheaper compared to others.

Am sure with the third player we will experience cheaper calls, cheaper data, landline calls etc and I hope Papua New Guineans would experience the competition that we all deserve,'' said Basil.

The retail outlets for Vodafone PNG are expected to open as off today, Friday 22/04/22.
