PNG Elections : Moresby North-East Records Big Number of Nomination

 Moresby North-East has seen a total of 44 nominations so far, since Thursday up until Saturday - the highest compared to the other two electorates and the regional seat.

NCD Assistant Election Manager Roselyn Tabogani told NBC News, as of Saturday, 12 candidates nominated for Moresby North-West while Moresby South only saw 5 candidates nominating.

Mrs. Tabogani said 17 candidates have put their hands up so far for the Regional seat.

She said these are the figures from Thursday to Saturday, as there was no nomination for today Sunday.

She confirmed that nominations will continue tomorrow (Monday 23.05.22) and end on Thursday 26 May 2022 at 4pm.

The Assistant Election Manager says a total of 9 women have nominated so far, 3 for the NCD Regional seat, 4 for Moresby North East , and 1 each for  Moresby North West and  Moresby South.
