PNG Police Receive armoured Vehicles for Elections

Papua New Guinea Police Minister William Gogl Onglo said building capacity of police to ensure a successful and free election is paramount.

Mr. Onglo said this when commissioning three bulletproof armoured vehicles at the Mcgregor Police Barracks, outside Port Moresby this morning.

The customized built Toyota Landcruisers will be deployed to the Highlands region for the 2022 national elections.

The assets will be shared among all three disciplinary forces.

Minister Onglo said the government's duty is to protect and serve the people, and such asset will play a significant role during the elections.
