The PNG Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed grave concern about the way the 2022 national election is taking place.
President Ian Tarutia says business houses anticipate a positive outcome from this election, however, they do not want to see any further delays in the processes.
The Chamber also supports the call made by Transparency International and the Catholic Church to stop the blame game issue and focus on delivering a successful election outcome.
He said "The business community are important stakeholders in our country, in our economy and yet they are not given the due respect that they deserve as employers of our people. So our call is that if it is deferred yesterday for example, here in Port Moresby and its on tomorrow, then have it tomorrow."
