PNG Elections : Manasseh Makiba wins Margarima Open Seat

 PANGU Party has secured another seat in this election bringing its total to three so far. 

Manasseh Makiba was officially declared at 11:55am as the elected Member of Parliament for Magarima Open. 

The M-P declared now puts his foot into history, as the first representative for the recently established Magarima District. 

This followed completion of secondary vote count on Sunday. 

Mr. Manasseh polled to victory after the 17th exclusion, with a vote tally of 20, 753. 

While runner up for the open seat of Magarima Paul Agiru finished with 15, 482 votes. 

Prime Minister James Marape was declared a week ago and his deputy John Rosso was declared in Lae last night.
