PNG 11th Parliament Sits this morning
The Papua New Guinea 11th parliament sitting begins this morning at 10 o’clock.
The major agenda of the House would be the swearing-in of the members-elected and voting of the Speaker and subsequent Prime Minister.
The clerk of Parliament Kala Aufa told NBC news that all members-elected will be sworn in by Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika and that will be followed by the election of the Parliament Speaker and other formalities.
Parliament will then be adjourned for two weeks to chart a way forward for the new government.
