Nambawan Super Opens up Branch in Kuinga, Western Province

 Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) officially opened its Kiunga branch in North Fly District of Western Province yesterday (Wednesday 02 February 2023)

The opening was witnessed by Mr Paul Sayer, Chief Executive Officer of NSL and NSL's member representatives in Kiunga including nurses, police and teachers.


The Kiunga branch, waa once established at the Post Office since 2012 and serving more than 5000 members has now been relocated to WP Construction Limited building in the center of Kiunga town as part of NSL's continued focus on improving member access to superannuation services in rural centres around the country.

CEO Mr Paul Sayer says this branch is now conveniently located within walking distance to local schools, government offices, key state institutions and several other businesses which employ many of NSL members in North Fly District.

"The branch has also been upgraded to accommodate up to 10 members with three counters attended by our member service officers, one self counter for ease of access, and one comfortable interview or meeting room that provides privacy for members when discussing their superannuation benefits and retirement savings with us," said Mr Sayer.

He says Kiunga town has the potential to grow into a key industrial township in the future and Nambawan Super is looking forward to supporting its members in Kiunga as they work and when they retire.

"Kiunga is an important port town that is crucial to the success of one of the country's largest mining operations, through its freight and haulage services. We expect that as the mines operations continue  to grow, so will the number of opportunities for residents in North Fly District," he said.

North Fly's District Administrator Mr Greg Isau thanked the management team for providing such services right in town.

He says banking services is important for residents within the district and Western Province at large.

Relocation of the Kiunga branch with good facilities are part of NSL's branch relocation and improvement exercise that aims to bring services closer to members' doorsteps while also improving on the quality of services and facilities provided.

In December last year, Nambawan Super also opened their newly relocated Daru branch in South Fly District as well as its Wewak branches and they are planning to open up a branch in Wabag, Enga Province, later this month.
