PNG Operation Resolve Task Force Commander Commends Troops for Ensuring Security in Lae

 The Commander of the Operation Resolve Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Douglas Vavar, visited Lae today to express commendation to the resilient troops under his command. The Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) reported that LTCOL Vavar praised the troops for their dedicated efforts in maintaining a secure environment in Lae, free from the looting and unrest that had affected Port Moresby and other parts of the country.

Emphasizing the critical role of "aid to civil power," LTCOL Vavar applauded the troops for their exemplary conduct and hard work as they collaborated with their counterparts from the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) and the Papua New Guinea Correctional Service (PNGCS). The collaborative efforts of these forces have played a pivotal role in ensuring the security and stability of Lae amid challenges faced in other regions.
