Hull FC Signs Papua New Guinea Duo Rimbu and Stewart for 2025 Season
Super Leagues Hull FC has bolstered its squad for the 2025 season by signing Papua New Guinea stars Judah Rimbu and Treigh Stewart. The announcement, reported exclusively by Hull Live, highlights the club's strategic recruitment to enhance their team dynamics.
Stewart, set to join immediately on an 18-month contract with an extension option, has played for the PNG Prime Minister's 13 and has experience with Melbourne Storm and St George Illawarra Dragons. Pending successful visa applications, Stewart is expected to arrive in the UK in the coming weeks after being released by Brisbane Tigers.

Rimbu, a talented hooker identified as a key addition due to the upcoming retirement of club legend Danny Houghton, has been a standout for the PNG Hunters in Queensland's Hostplus Cup. The 22-year-old has also trained with the NRL side Dolphins and debuted for the PNG Kumuls last autumn.
Hull FC has already secured Salford Red Devils' hooker Amir Bourouh, and Rimbu will be their second hooker signing. With these additions, Hull FC is addressing the critical need for quality and depth in their squad.
However, to accommodate the new players, Hull FC will release a current quota player. The team has already signed John Asiata for the 2025 season, alongside Jed Cartwright, Ligi Sao, Herman Ese'ese, Jayden Okunbor, and Franklin Pele.
These strategic signings mark Hull FC's commitment to enhancing their performance in the upcoming Super League seasons.
