Remote School in Enga Province Tops PNG Grade 12 Examinations
A remote school in Enga Province has achieved top honors in the recently announced Grade 12 National Examinations. Pitipas Secondary School, located in Enga Province, was among the best-performing system schools for Grade 12 National Examination s in Papua New Guinea. The results, which also featured the top-performing schools in various categories, were announced by the Education Department following the release of the 2024 national examination results for Grades 8, 10, and 12.

Education Minister Lucas Dekena and Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra revealed the results at Port Moresby National High School in the presence of school principals from the National Capital District. The announcement included the top-performing students across 16 subjects and recognized schools nationwide for their academic excellence. This year, over 120,000 Grade 8 students, more than 78,000 Grade 10 students, and over 33,000 Grade 12 students received their results.
