PNG International Rodrick Tai Parts Ways with Warrington Wolves
Papua New Guinea centre Rodrick Tai will not be returning to Warrington Wolves next season, following confirmation that his contract with the Super League club has expired.
Warrington made the announcement this week, also confirming the permanent signing of back-rower Sam Stone from Salford Red Devils. Tai, a nine-time international for the PNG Kumuls, joined the Wolves two years ago and went on to score 13 tries across 41 matches.

The 26-year-old from Mount Hagen featured in consecutive Challenge Cup finals before sustaining a pectoral injury in July that sidelined him for the rest of the season.
A former PNG Hunters standout, Tai also signed a dual-registration deal with Widnes earlier this year but never took the field for the Vikings.
Warrington decided not to extend his contract beyond 2025, bringing his stay at the Halliwell Jones Stadium to an end. The club thanked Tai for his efforts and contribution during his time in Warrington colours.
Tai remains a proud representative of Papua New Guinea rugby league and is expected to attract interest from other clubs ahead of the new season.
“Warrington have confirmed the departure of centre Rodrick Tai, while back-rower Sam Stone has now joined the Wolves on a permanent basis from Salford Red Devils.”
