PNG Education Department announces Top performing Schools in 2025
The Papua New Guinea Education Department has released the official list of top performing schools for the 2025 Grade 12 and Grade 10 National Examinations, showcasing institutions that delivered exceptional academic results across government, private and NSOE categories. The announcement was made following the formal release of the national examination results by Education Minister Lucas Dekena and Secretary for Education Dr. Uke Kombra.
According to the department, La Salle Technical Secondary School emerged as the top-ranked Grade 12 government school, followed by Mt Hagen Secondary School and Marianville Secondary School. For private schools, PNG Paradise High School secured the number one position, while Passam NSOE led the National Schools of Excellence rankings.
The department also confirmed the top performers for the Grade 10 Examination, where La Salle Technical Secondary School again claimed first place among government schools. Brandi Secondary School and Pitipias Secondary School followed closely behind. In the Grade 10 private school category, PNG Paradise College topped the list.
