Papua New Guinea’s Cabinet has been refreshed with the swearing-in of three new ministers following a reshuffle announced by the Marape–Rosso Government on Tuesday afternoon.
The changes see Member for Kopiam–Ambum John Pundari, Menyamya MP Solan Loifa and Tewai Siassi MP Dr. Kobby Bomareo entering Cabinet after vacancies emerged in three key portfolios.

The ministers were formally sworn in at Government House by Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae during a ceremony held yesterday afternoon.
Prime Minister James Marape said the appointments were made to maintain stability and progress within critical sectors as the government prepares for the 2026 fiscal year.
While the new ministers have taken their oaths, the Prime Minister said the specific portfolios they will hold will be announced at a media conference scheduled for 9.30am on Wednesday, ahead of the Cabinet meeting at 10am.
The reshuffle follows recent changes that left the Works and Highways, Mining and Housing ministries without ministers. Works and Highways became vacant after the passing of the late Solan Mirisim.
The Mining portfolio was left open following the resignation of Rainbo Paita to contest the Morobe Governor’s seat, while Dr. Bomareo vacated the Housing Ministry to also pursue the Morobe governorship.
