PNG Home Buyers Encouraged as BSP Supports Hausples Expo
Thousands of Papua New Guineans planning to buy their first home are expected to benefit from this year’s Hausples Real Estate Show after BSP Financial Group renewed its partnership with the event.
The bank has come in as Diamond Sponsor with K45,000 in support for the 2026 exhibition, which will be held at the Sir John Guise Indoor Complex on June 26 and 27.

The real estate showcase has grown into one of the country’s leading platforms for people seeking information on housing loans, land purchases and property investments.
Hausples General Manager Arne Alfajardo thanked BSP for standing alongside the company since the event was launched nearly a decade ago.
He said the partnership continued to help more citizens gain access to information and opportunities in the property market.
BSP’s Head of Retail Lending, Arinola Adeleye, said many customers face uncertainty when entering the housing market for the first time, especially when trying to understand their financial position.
She said BSP’s lending team works closely with customers through pre-assessments and financial guidance before they commit to buying a property.
Ms Adeleye said moving from renting into home ownership allows families to build long-term assets and financial security.
BSP’s First Home Ownership Loan package offers lower interest rates and extended repayment periods aimed at helping first-time buyers.
“Through years of assisting customers, we have seen how purchasing a home builds equity over time. Instead of paying a landlord, your monthly payments invest in an asset that appreciates,” she said.
“The critical first step in property hunting is awareness. We can conduct pre-assessments to help you understand your borrowing capacity before you begin ‘window shopping.’”
