Bai, who carries a rich rugby league pedigree, steps into the role as Trukai looks to champion values such as ambition, discipline, healthy living and community upliftment through one of the country's brightest young sporting prospects.

The agreement also extends a family legacy, with Cooper following in the footsteps of his father, former NRL standout Marcus Bai, whose playing career left a lasting mark on generations of rugby league followers across PNG.

Speaking on the announcement, Trukai Industries General Manager for PNG and Solomon Islands, Andrew Grace, said Cooper embodied the qualities the company wanted associated with its brand. "Cooper represents the next generation of rugby league talent, inspiring young Papua New Guineans through his passion and commitment to the game," Grace said.

Grace added that the tie-up would reinforce Trukai's ongoing commitment to product quality, healthier lifestyles and community-focused initiatives, while helping the company build stronger relationships with everyday consumers nationwide.

Trukai said Bai's influence and personal values would play a key role in bringing the brand's story closer to Papua New Guineans, especially the younger generation, as the company continues investing in its products, its brand presence and the communities it serves across the country.
