PNG Chiefs Add BSP, Struddys and Coca-Cola as Major Partners

PNG Chiefs are continuing preparations for their historic NRL entry after securing three major commercial partnerships with BSP Group, Struddys and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Papua New Guinea (CCEP PNG) during September.

The new sponsors have been announced ahead of a major milestone for the club, with the PNG Chiefs set to reveal their official logo on October 21 before presenting their first NRL jersey to the public the following day.

For the club, the agreements provide an early commercial framework as it builds towards its inaugural Telstra Premiership campaign in 2028.

BSP Group opened the month’s sponsorship announcements when it confirmed its partnership with the Chiefs on September 9.

The financial institution has taken up the position of principal foundation partner, with its branding to feature on the front of the team jersey.

Its involvement will also cover a range of areas including membership, development pathways, community engagement and match-day operations.

Two weeks later, the Chiefs confirmed a deal with Struddys, an Australian sportswear company that will become the team’s official apparel and kit partner.

Struddys will be responsible for producing the club’s inaugural playing uniforms, training clothing and merchandise as the Chiefs establish their visual identity.

The agreement gives Struddys exclusive rights to supply the PNG Chiefs’ playing jerseys and merchandise during the team’s first four NRL seasons, from 2028 through to 2031.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners PNG followed on September 28, joining the Chiefs as a premier partner under a multi-year arrangement.

The deal extends Coca-Cola’s involvement in the NRL while continuing CCEP PNG’s longstanding association with rugby league in Papua New Guinea.

As part of the partnership, Coca-Cola will have its branding displayed on the Chiefs’ jersey sleeve and will support activities involving match days, media and communities.

CCEP PNG Country Director Tim Solly described the agreement as a natural progression of the organisation’s commitment to rugby league in Papua New Guinea.

The three deals give the PNG Chiefs a growing commercial base as the club works towards taking the field for the first time in the NRL in 2028.
