Bonga calls on Mr Peter O’Neill to vacate the PM’s Office

PM O'Neill urged to step aside
Former Member for Nawae Timothy Bonga called on Mr Peter O’Neill to man up and stop his childish rants before he further incriminates himself.
Mr Bonga made this call following the advertorial last week in one of the daily papers dated Tuesday, 10 May 2016.
He said, “Papua New Guineans are more informed today than ever before.
Therefore, Mr O’Neill should stop his blame game that includes diverting attention away from real facts. Papua New Guineans have grown accustomed to his slippery tactics.
“The issue of what year the Office of the Attorney General engaged the services of Paraka Lawyers is not in question here as the commissioning of the Finance Inquiry put a stop to all out of court settlements made to Paraka Lawyers.
“The matter in question is the Prime Minister Mr O’Neill’s glaring letter directing the Minister for Finance & Treasury Hon Don Polye to pay 71 million Kina to Paraka Lawyers.
“Since Mr O’Neill’s climb into the highest office he has continued to side step responsibilities and pointing fingers at everyone else.
“It is obvious that he is not mature enough to be holding the highest office in the country.
“I call on government agencies that are supporting his illegal hold on the Prime Minister’s Office to cease protecting the individual Peter O’Neill so he can face the charges that are before him. Mr O’Neill you are not above the law!
“Importantly, I also call on the two dailies to be impartial and allow the publication of all sides to stories. The convenience of advising one party that a matter is sub judice then allowing another party to run their advertorial is bad practice and unfair.
“You have a responsibility to readers to report all sides of an issue so readers can draw their own conclusion,” said Mr Bonga.
