Indochine Mining drills at PNG gold project; assays return up to 10g/t gold
Indochine Mining (ASX:IDC) has advanced bonanza gold zone drilling operations at the Mt Kare project in Papua New Guinea.
Four closed space drill holes have been completed to define the extent of the quartz roscoelite bonanza gold zone within the BZ Zone at Mt Kare. An additional hole is underway.
High grade bonanza zones are the focus of ongoing drilling work, that would help grow the project resource.
Initial results from these Bonanza Zones are likely from late January.
New results from previous drilling program in 2012 show gold intercepts of 10 metres at 6.3 g/t including 5 metres at 10 g/t gold and 4 g/t silver from 20 metres down hole.
Twenty three drillholes comprising 275 samples with silver assays over 100 g/t are being reassayed, including three drillholes with very high silver values of 400 to over 1500 g/t silver. The revised assay results are also likely to be released by end of January.
