Air Niugini flies into Indonesia
Air Niugini is stretching its wings to Indonesia's tourist island of Bali, with its inaugural flight scheduled for later this evening.
The flight departs Port Moresby after six o' çlock this evening, following a short dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony.
It arrives in Denpasar, Bali, around midnight tonight with some 140 passengers, among them, government officials and the media.
The flight is the first, since Prime Minister Peter O' Neil and Indonesia's President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, signed the Air Services Agreement in Jakarta, early this year.
Air Niugini's General Manager Commercial, Dominic Kaumu, says the flight will be welcomed at the Denpasar Airport by Balinese dancers, the Governor of Bali and the Mayor of Denpasar.
