Prime Minister Peter O'Neill today ordered a full scale investigation into members of the Police Force who have knowingly disregarded established processes of police investigations.
He told the media during a meeting at 2 this afternoon that those rogue police men who have sought to collaborate with the Opposition Leader to interfere with ongoing investigations that are being conducted by the Police must be identified and charged for their breach of lawful procedures.
Mr O'Neill said Police would also investigate whether there was collaboration between the rogue policemen and others to circumvent the investigations that are now underway to suit the political agenda of the Opposition Leader.
The PM said that their actions to facilitate court bench warrants amounts to trying to conduct what he described as a “Kangaroo court” in the absence of a properly carried out investigation and lack of credible evidence.
"I have not disobeyed anyd district court order, or evaded the court, so I ask - where and how did Namah obtain this warrant and court order", the PM questioned.
O’Neill stated that no one is above the law and that any charges or arrests must be done according to rule of law and that all investigations must be conducted independently without political interference.
