Several more attempts by the Capras to win the game back in the dying minutes were diffused by the Hunters who put up a brick wall to restrict any more points being scored. Dion Aiye and Adam Korave pulled off try saving tackles to deny the Capras any points.
The victory for Hunters is their seventh win.
They will play the South Logan Magpies next week in Kokopo.
