Majority of PNG's rural population missing out on basic services

 The dispersed population living in rural areas continues to confront difficult economic circumstances as a result of the widespread breakdown in basic services delivery and socio-economic crisis is expected to intensify in the next three to five years.
Plans and targets have been set in place for rural infrastructural development, but only a small number of the rural population have had the blessings of a few basic services thus far.
Although the budget has been increased from millions to billions to cater for development in the rural pockets, basic services have yet to reach the bulk of the population.
Something is seriously not right in this country.
How many more years are our leaders going to preach about basic service delivery before all our forests are harvested, all our fish stocks depleted, all our minerals dug and all our petroleum piped out?
Everyone is born with nothing and will die the same way.
However, why are the rich with political powers and the educated robbing the poor in this country whey they already have enough?
It has been almost 40 years now and nothing has been done to the rural and remote areas in PNG.
Some parts of this country are still living a nomadic lifestyle.
