Vaki turns to District Court

Acting Police Commissioner, Geoffrey Vaki's attempt to urgently set aside a District Court warrant to arrest the Prime Minister, has been adjourned to next week.
The case was mentioned this morning.

The National Court is still dealing with the application to stay the arrest and this move, comes as a surprise,
It was presided over by Chief Magistrate Nerri Eliakim.

Its understood the purpose of the adjournment was for the State to be served court documents before the matter is heard.
Greg Shepard is representing the Police Commissioner on behalf of Sam Bonner, and is set to argue that the warrant is defective.

Meantime the National Court will continue its hearing to stay the arrest of Prime Minister Peter O'Neill, at one-thirty p-m this afternoon.

The case was adjourned to next Wednesday
