DEFENCE TOPPED EDA RANU DEFAULTERS LIST
The Department of Defence has again topped the list of government agencies owing money to Eda Ranu in unpaid water bills.
Chief Executive Officer, Henry Mokono said, the P-N-G-D-F alone owes six-point-3-million-Kina.
However, he's applauded the Police for paying up their water bills and the Correction Services for coming forward to discuss their outstanding bills.
"Eda Ranu was owed in excess about 48-million going 50-mill, but apparently the police department early this year January they' actually paid up their bills so we commend the Police Commissioner and it's Administration for realizing the importance of water being provided to their facilities as well as the police barracks and the families of policemen and women living there. And I'm happy to announce also that we've met with the management of Correctional Services last month and we've come up with some plans that we will work together with them, so that they can be able to also settle their current bills. "
