Court throws out Potape's bail appeal

The Waigani Court has thrown out jailed MP Francis Potape's appeal. Justice Dereck Hartshorn refused to grant bail to the jailed MP. Justice Hartshorn was not satisfied with the submission and refused bail application on all four grounds. “I am not satisfied that the appellant has established that exceptional circumstances exit in this case,” said Justice Hartshorn. “His  application for bail pending the hearing and determination of his appeal against conviction is refused.” 

 Many supporters of  Potape who turned up in numbers to hear the case left the court precised dissatisfied.
