PNG CANOE TEAM STRIKES GOLD
The Papua New Guinea Men’s Outrigger Canoeing Team arrived in the country today with two BRONZE medals and a Gold Medal in the Australian National Springs title in Queensland, Australia.
The 14 man squad accompanied by the coach Michael BAI and the team Manageress attended the Australian Springs title as the only Pacific Island country participating in the Aussie Springs title.
A jubilant Coach Michael BAI told reporters at the Jacksons airport that the team performed exceptionally well which reflected in the results of two bronze and the Gold medal and said that they are looking forward to a descent play in the Pacific Games.
Mr. BAI said that the team is anticipating some preparatory games for the pacific games.
