PNG to build new court complex in the capital Port Moresby

Chief Justice of PNG Sir Salamoa Injia told a gathering at the ground breaking ceremony of the new National and Supreme Court complex in Waigani , Port Moresby that the construction would be completed in time for the APEC meet in 2018 and he would be happy to invite the President of US Barrack Obama to view the new construction.
The ground breaking ceremony today marked the commencement of early works on the new complex while main construction works are set to begin in July this year.
“The new complex will be built at a cost of K600m and is one of the governments major impact projects delivered to promote justice for citizens in the country,” said the Sir Salamoa
The new complex will accommodate 14 new court rooms, judge’s chambers, detainee holding cells and an administrative building.
