7 missing Papua New Guineans found in Solomon Islands
Reports have reached the Papua New Guinea's National Disaster Centre in Port Moresby from Solomon Islands that 7 people including 2 children who went missing 2 weeks ago between Woodlark and Misima Island in Milne Bay Province were located in good condition in the waters of Solomon Islands today by locals at Randova Island in the Solomon Island's Western Province.
They were all escorted by Police officers to the Munda Hospital for medication before repatriation is organized.
The National Disaster Centre in POM relayed the message to the Alotau Provincial Disaster office this afternoon>
Acting Provincial Disaster Coordinator Steven Tobessa confirmed the information and said they will repatriated back to PNG after medical checks are complete.
