Jimmy Drekore is the 2014 PNG Man of Honor

Jimmy Drekore, the President and Founder of Simbu Children Foundation (SCF), has been awarded the 2014 PNG Man of Honour.
The Runner up was Sam Koim, Head of PNG Task Force Sweep Team.
Mr Drekore and SCF truly deserved the 2014 PNG Man of Honour Award.
It was purely based on merits.
Merits alone because the evidence on the ground (in Simbu) speak for itself.
SCF's services to the "neediest of the neediest", moms and children I Simbu, is exemplary!
SCF's story is gaining traction globally ... and it did not miss the United Nations Office of Geneva's Richter scale on change and development.
Point is this.
Millions (consultants) write reports on rural service delivery that never gets read, let alone, being implemented.
000's mauswara (sweet talk!) their way to power, do nothin' but provide BS and lip service.
But there's always a turning point, when change is made possible.
When a select few, turn the corner and begin to "walk the talk", grind boots to dirt, and do something about it!
Jimmy Drekore and Team SCF, fuelled by the 'Giving Spirit of the Simbus', are doing just that: getting the job done.
And here's the kicker: SCF is home-grown!
Changes in society occur when one or two people of conscience act.
Jimmy Drekore, through SCF, is one such man of conscience.
We're thrilled the (independent) judges saw SCF (and Drekore) as genuine contenders for the awards.
And were more thrilled, the Digicel PNG Foundation Team, saw, as we did, SCF's impact (evidence) through the watery eyes of appreciative moms and children whom they met during the field tours and interviews.
We're happy you made the correct decisions.
And finally ... I am so proud of having nominated Mr. Jimmy Drekore.
