PNG beats Solomon Islands in friendly

Papua New Guinea's wonder boy Tommy Sammy  scored a double to beat Solomon Islands in a friendly match at the Lawson Tama stadium in Honiara. The  PNG Under-23 beat the Solomon Islanders  with 2-1 . The PNG boys were touring Solomon Islands in preparation for the Pacific Games in July. 

In first match played last Thursday, Sammy scored a screamer that shook the net and the Lawson Tama before the Solomon Islands equalized for a draw. But for yesterday match, it was a even battle in the first half as both teams search for the opening goal.  The PNG men mesmerized the crowd especially Sammy and every time he touched the ball the crowd cheered. And it was Sammy who caught the Solomon Islanders  by surprise with this right footer. And minutes before full time Sammy ended the hopes of Western United fans with another brilliant strike. This second goals was enough to send the PNG men back with one win and a draw.

The two friendly matches were part of the PNG men's preparation for the Pacific Games.
