PNG Kumuls to play Fiji Batis in a Test match in May

The Papua New Guinea Kumuls will take on the Fiji Batis in a test match in May. The match will be played in  Gold Coast Australia. It will be a double header game when Samoa will play Tonga in the same venue.

The PNRRFL board said most to of the PNG Kumuls players will be taken from the National Rugby League, Super League and the Queensland Cup.  Majority of the players will most like come from the PNG Hunters and the Q-Cup.

Some consideration will be given for young talents from the PNG Digicel cup. The PNGRFL is expected to announce a train-on squad this week.

If the Kumuls beat the Batis, PNG will host the winner of Samoa-Tonga game in the final in October.
