PNG Officials on aid mission in Vanuatu
Papua New Guinea Government officials are in Vanuatu to identify their needs following devastation caused by Tropical Cyclone Pam two weeks ago.
The assessment team consists of officials from the Prime Ministers Office, National Disaster Emergency Services, PNG Defence Force and Health Department.
The visit is to identify the needs caused by the cyclone and determine the long-term assistance by the PNG Government. PNG will provide engineers and experts to assist with the rehabilitation process.
There will be additional assistance to the K5 million immediate relief assistance given to Vanuatu last week.
