Management of the National Broadcasting Corporation is taking drastic action on both the current and former staff of the organization who have taken advantage of Social media in making malicious claims against the management.
Managing Director Memafu Kapera in a media conference yesterday (Wednesday, 22, April) said people involved have been identified and arrests will start as early as today Thursday, 23 April.
The management since last month conducted an investigation into the true identity of the faceless people who have made serious allegations against them on Facebook.
The same people have also gone to the extent of creating a FaceBook account with the name Memafu Kapera without his consent and have posted derogatory remarks on the time line.
The account contains the picture of Kapera with words such as Devils advocate, thief and triple- 6 written on his forehead.
Kapera and his management believe its the work of the disgruntled staff who were displaced with the recent restructure exercise the organization has carried out.
The restructure is a normal government sanction reforms that are carried out not only in NBC but other government organizations also do restructures, and those people should be open minded about it.
He said some current staff are also involved in tarnishing the name and good work of the current management and they will be dealt with accordingly.
The managing Director also claim, former staff who made malicious comments against him have no material attachment with the organization as their entitlements were paid out and they should move on.
Memafu Kapera confidently said these people are known to the management, and they will be arrested under the Information and Communication Technology Act.
