The Oil Search Pacific Games Relay has had an exciting start to its 100 day journey, covering 11,200 kilometres and has been experienced by over 60,000 people.

Throughout its travels so far the Relay has journeyed throughout East and West Sepik where it has visited numerous areas including Vanimo, Telefomin, Wewak, Dreikikir, Ambunti and Angoram along with a number of small, rural villages.

The Oil Search Pacific Games Relay is a message of invitation to all Papua New Guinean’s to take part in the XVth Pacific Games, and has received a warm welcome from all of those that have experienced the Relay and come in touch with the Baton.

“The Relay adventure has been amazing so far and the Relay team have been touched by the warm reception received across the Sepik”, says Relay Manager, Tamzin Wardley.

The Oil Search Pacific Games Relay will travel on to Madang Province, followed by Eastern Highlands, Simbu and then Western Province.
