Sir John Guise Indoor complex certified to host Commonwealth Games

Papua New Guinea's  Pacific Games venue Sir John Guise Main Indoor stadium has taken a complete makeover in its preparations for the Pacific Games and is certified under International Standard making it eligible to host international matches.

CEO of Games Organizing Committee Mr Peter Stewart said the stadium has met all International criteria making it eligible to even host Commonwealth Games or the Olympic Games.

The Indoor complex will host Sporting events of Weightlifting, Netball and Basketball during the Games and the interior sitting and floors has been completed and is set to go with other operational logistics and equipments expected to be fitted in a few days time.

Beach Volleyball and Hockey will be other out door sports that will be played at Sir John Guise Stadium.
