Wisil continues as BSP Brand Ambassador
Papua New Guinea's sprint queen Toea Wisil has signed up as BSP's brand ambassador for another two years. The agreement is timely and was well received by Wisil who is preparing for a medal showdown at the Pacific Games in July.Toea who has represented BSP as the brand ambassador since 2012, is now hard at training for the 2015 Pacific Games.
With BSP also as the Official Sponsor of the 2015 Pacific Games, the sponsorship announcement brings a new challenge for the star athlete as she prepares to do BSP and the country proud.
The five (5) time gold medal winner in the Pacific Games 2011 in New Caledonia is aiming to repeat her winning feat as she prepares for the Pacific Games on home soil.
Wisil says she's looking forward to make PNG and BSP proud this July as she competes on home soil. "This sponsorship by BSP will go a long way in my development as an athlete, and I am grateful to BSP for showing confidence in me in the continued support and association with the bank and its brand," said Wisil
She will be competing in five track events including 100m, 200m, 400m and also 4x100m and 4x400m relay.

The arrangement will see the 28-year-old associate with the BSP's team and use her experience and successes to promote and encourage healthy, active lifestyles through various sports, environment and community initiatives supported by the bank.
Wisil is the nation's most celebrated female athlete, her dedication and commitment to the sport of athletics has led her to be one of the most recognisable athletes in the Pacific region.
Among her most notable accomplishments on the track being her 5 Gold Medals at the Pacific Games in 2011, where she outshone her opponents in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m Relay and 4x400m Relay.
She has continually strived to achieve a high level of competition, which has led her to now being the PNG National Record Holder in both the 200m and 400m disciplines.
It is these achievements that have led to Wisil being crowned Papua New Guinea's Sports Woman of the Year in the SP Sports Awards in 2010 and 2011.
