Australia to provide more than 120 scholarships for Papua New Guineans
The Australian Government will be offering more than 120 scholarships to Papua New Guineans to study in Australian Universities in 2016.
Half of this scholarships will be targeted for women.
Acting Australian High Commissioner to PNG Ms Bronte Moules, said these scholarships will offer Papua New Guinean's an opportunity to obtain an Australian qualification, that will equip them with skills and knowledge, to actively contribute to developing PNG.
Ms. Moules said, people living and working in the provinces will be given priority, while eight awards have been offered to people living with a disabilities.
The Scholarships will be in areas of health, education, governance and infrastructure.
Application for these scholarship will be opened in October 2015.
