Namah wants Baki and Rabura to be charged

The member for Vanimo Green Belden Namah wants the Police Commissioner Gary Baki and Chief Migration Officer Mataio Rabura charged for interfering with the course of justice.
Namah made it known today that the actions by the Police Commissioner to remove senior police officers in the likes of Thomas Eluh, Timothy Gitua and Mathew Damaru in their investigations that led to the arrest warrant of the Prime Minister Peter O'Neill, and the Chief Migration Officer to ban lawyers representing these officers to come into the country are not isolated actions but vindictive in nature.
Namah said in light of these the decision by agents of the O'Neill Government to ban lawyers representing Task-Force Sweep members and terminate top police officers came after similar unsuccessful attempts in court.
Namah also pointed out from a Minute signed by the Police Commissioner dated 30th July 2015 regarding Warrants of Arrest to be referred to the Commissioner for vetting and approval is totally against the constitution and powers vested upon police officers.
"I have no reservation to call upon the Police and Courts to charge Commissioner Baki and Mr Rabura as well as others for contempt of court and for perverting the course of Justice," said Namah.
