PNG Women in Business

A small but significant ceremony was held by PNG Women In Business to present and announce issues involving the women empowering advocates here in the country.
WIB's Janet Sape and Minister for Religion Youths and Community Development Delilah Gore were present to announce and congratulate seven women delegates in small to medium enterprise (SME) sector who will be attending the Indonesian Trade Fair next week.
A presentation of a wheel chair from Brown Kapi Foundation to a women leader from Telefomin Jessie Bong who is a person living with disability and is also instrumental in supporting economic empowerment of women in Telefomin Saun Daun Province was the highlight .Minister Gore said the current government have in place a policy for people living with disability which has already rolled out in Rigo District of Central Province and she assured Jessie from Telefomin that a team from her department will visit her in Telefomin.
Lastly minister announced as part of the Asia Pacific Economic Conference for women representatives from PNG award APEC First PNG Iconic Women award this year goes to business women advocate Janet Sape.
