Israel Eliab leaves Hunters to play for London Broncos
PNG Hunters Captain Israel Eliab will leave for England after he signed a one-year contract with the second tier London Broncos for 2016 season.
Israel Eliab was instrumental in the success of Hunters in the Intrust Super Cup for the last two years. He represented PNG in several occasions including the 2013 Rubgy League World Cup, Melanesian cup, and Prime Ministers XIII. He also won two consecutive five-eight of the year awards for 2014 and 2015 in the Intrust Supper Cup.
Former Hunters player, Gary Lo has also signed up with Sheffield Eagles.
Meanwhile, the Hunters Management team have announced 36 train-on squad for the 2016 Intrust Super Cup Season. It will be hard to replace Israel Eliab but the Hunters management is hopeful to scout young players with talents to play for the Hunters.
