Eight new players included in PNG Hunters Squad
Eight new faces have been included in Coach Michael Marum's squad for the 2016 Intrust Super Cup campaign.
The departure of Israel Eliab and Willie Minoga and the retirement of Roger Laka has made way for the inclusion of the eight players.
The most notable exclusion is Kato Ottio, currently on a train and trial stint with Australia's Canberra Raiders.
The eight new inclusions are Silas Gahuna, Watson Boas, Philemon Kimisive, Ishmael Baikawa, Benjamin Hetra, Justin Olam, Anderson Benford and Tuvi Lepan. Those retained include Stargroth Amean, Ase Boas, Nixon Borana, Warren Glare, Adam Korave, Timothy Lomai, Wartovo Puara, Thompson Teteh, Ate Bina Wabo, Noel Zeming, Bland Abavu, Edward Goma, Enoch Maki, Brandy Peter, Esau Siune, Henry Wan and Adex Wera. Marum has included William Aquila as an additional player and development players Konnie Bernard, Simon Peter and John Ragi for pre-season training and preparations with the Hunters squad. The squad assembled in Port Moresby today to begin preparations for the 2016 Queensland Intrust Super Cup competition
