Ending Corruption starts at Top : Parkop

The Government needs to take the lead at the top level to put a stop to corrupt activities happening in the country.

This was the word from NCD Governor Powes Parkop who stated that if the top is doing nothing in fighting corruption, then it becomes like a chain effects where the people down the line will be involved in corruption as well.

Mr Parkop also questioned why some first term MPs seem to have properties overseas and businesses within their first term in Parliament, which he says needs to be questioned and seriously has to be looked into by the ombudsman commission.

Parkop challenged all members of parliament to exercise transparency in handling all public money and ensure that the people benefit from them.
