Shane Richardson to Re-join Rabbitohs as General Manager of Football
The South Sydney Rabbitohs have today confirmed that Shane Richardson will re-join the Club as General
Manager of Football on a date to be determined over the next 60 days.
Mr Richardson has tendered his resignation at the NRL today after 12 months as the Code’s Head of Game
Strategy and Development.
Mr Richardson will head up the Football Operations with responsibilities for player retention, recruitment,
pathways and operations.
Rabbitohs CEO John Lee is looking forward to having Mr Richardson back at the Club.
“Shane is arguably the most experienced football brain in the country,” Mr Lee said.
“He has a wonderful understanding of the football side of the business and a deep appreciation of what our Club
stands for, having been part of the organisation for over a decade.
“I’m looking forward to Shane’s contribution to the future success of the Rabbitohs.”
