Westpac hosts “Walk for Life”
Westpac PNG is proud to be hosting its first “Walk for Life” in conjunction with the National Capital District Governor’s office this Sunday. Everyone is invited to join the walk, which goes from the Jack Pidik Park to Ela Beach in Port Moresby.
The theme is “Prevention is better than cure,” which is fitting for a Westpac-supported event as they are one of the country’s leading firms when it comes to encouraging a healthy work environment and lifestyle for staff.
Westpac PNG’s Head of Retail Banking, Cameron Penfold, said: “We know that health is the greatest gift, as a healthy and fit person lives longer and is happier and more productive in all aspects of his or her life.”
“At Westpac, we encourage our staff members to live a healthy lifestyle, to eat meals that nourish the body and to get into the habit of exercising regularly – so I’m looking forward to seeing the Westpac PNG team lead the way on Sunday,” Mr Penfold said.
The walk will start at 5am and people are invited to gather at Jack Pidik Park from [4:00am] to take part in a yoga session first.
Westpac is providing refreshments at the end of the walk – so be the first to get to Ela Beach and grab yourself some fruit and water!
