Tweed Head Seagulls amazed with stadium, congratulate Hunters
The PNG Hunters home ground, the National Footabll stadium is the top playing field in the Intrust Super Cup. Tweed Heads Seagulls always knew that playing the SP PNG Hunters at this new stadium and in front of a huge home crowd was going to be a tough game but they matched the Hunters in a very physical game and almost pulled off a win.
Coach Aaron Zimmerle said despite of the result against them the whole team had a great time up here in PNG, especially the younger players in the team.
“We are privileged to be the first team to play against Michael’s side up here at your new amazing stadium and the atmosphere was just outstanding. I felt as though it was the Hunters home ground, every big hit or play that we made we were cheered on by the crowd here making us feel welcome and that is something the guys won’t forget,” says Coach Zimmerle.
On a more personal note, Zimmerle congratulated Michael Marum for his appointment as the Kumuls coach for the Pacific Test in May this year.
