Westpac Education Grants for Female students
To commemorate the International Women’s Day, Westpac PNG hosted a morning tea for their female staff across all their branches throughout the country and on top of that Westpac is also supporting women and girls under their 2016 Westpac Educations grants.
Westpac is offering a total of six education grants for this year; two winners from primary, secondary and the tertiary institution will receive K3000 each.
Marketing Manager for Westpac Alicia Raka said, educated women have far better outcomes across their life and so do their children and that is why Westpac is supporting women in PNG through education.
“When a woman is educated, the entire country benefits both socially & economically and this is also in line with the theme for International Women’s Day which is “Pledge for Parity” and we must all contribute towards gender equality.”
The application for 2016 Westpac Education grant is officially open today and will close on the 19th of April. Application forms can be collected from the nearest Westpac Branch. PNGFM
