Opposition makes fourth attempt to overthrow O'Neill-Dion Government
The Papua New Guinea Opposition has filed a motion of No Confidence against Prime Minister Peter O'Neill and his government at the speakers office today. This is the fourth attempt by the Opposition to overthrow O'Neill - Dion Government. The Opposition's previous three motions filed against the government were thrown out by the Speaker after sighting errors.
Today's motion was received by the Speaker Theo Zurenouc and his deputy Aide Ganasi.
14 MPs signed on the notice, including two government MPs Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare and Sumkar MP Ken Fairweather.
The notice will be announced tomorrow (Wednesday) if it is found to be in order.
