PNG Power grounds all of its Vehicles after receiving threats
PNG Power Ltd (PPL) management has issued orders to ground all of its vehicles in Port Moresby for the day after receiving threats of attacks.
According to a reliable source within the power company, the threat was sent yesterday in the form of a text message to the phones of PPL staff members, threatening to damage PPL vehicles when on the road or attending to any power issues today. However, the vehicles will go out on emergencies calls only and with a security escort.
It is still not clear the reason for the threat, but the internal security team is now investigating the matter. Meantime, the source of the threat message is still not known.
