USA edge out Mexico 2 - 1, secures semi final spot

The United States edged out determined Mexico  2 - 1 at the FIFA U-20 Women's World quarter final match at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Two final goals in the final ten minutes sent Mexico weeping, of having lost its chance of getting close to the coveted world cup.
The US, scored an equalizer in the 81st minute, and went on to seal their performance in 3-minutes into extra time at the Sir John Guise Stadium yesterday afternoon.
The US is now the third nation to secure a semi finals spot after North Korea Democratic People's Republic and Japan.
The final quarter finals match will be between reigning world champions Germany and France at half-past-seven.
